Special Education Info
"Every child, regardless of the disguise, knows what he or she
is not. We must teach each child what he or she can be."
The field of Special Education includes some of the most widely
and passionately debated issues in education today. Parents need
information. School districts need money. Others are concerned
about the "dumbing down" of school in the United States and want
to see their children challenged. Unfortunately the education
system pits one interest group against another ... teachers, administration,
parents...there's legislation issues, questions about appropriate
programming, inclusion, segregation... everyone needs support.
Most of all, the children ... We must find the way!
